Program Description

1 Year Program


Get a head start on a healthcare career through the Introduction to Medical Professions program. Designed for students exploring healthcare fields or preparing for competitive college programs, this course builds a strong foundation in biomedical terminology, human body systems, medical procedures, and professional skills. Taught by a licensed registered nurse, students learn medical language, abbreviations, communication, and documentation through interactive lessons, labs, case studies, multimedia projects, and guest speakers. The program also introduces careers in diagnostic, therapeutic, biotechnology, health informatics, and support services, helping students make informed career decisions while preparing for future healthcare education and careers.
