Program Description
1 Year Program
Experience the excitement and challenge of emergency services through the Fire Science program. Designed for students interested in firefighting, emergency response, and public safety, the program provides foundational knowledge and hands-on training in fire service operations, rescue techniques, and emergency management. Students learn fire behavior, fire suppression, rescue and vehicle extrication, emergency scene safety, equipment use, and fire service communications through classroom instruction and practical training. Hands-on experiences include ride-alongs with local fire departments, live fire training, rescue exercises, and a mass casualty incident drill with EMT students. Intended for high school seniors, the program provides a strong foundation for careers in firefighting, paramedicine, emergency management, fire investigation, public safety, or continued education.
