TCD's HVACR Program aligns with the approved HVACR COD courses. Successful completion of this program will result in your student receiving both high school and college credit for that course. An official College of DuPage transcript will then be created for your student.
Students may sign up for dual credit in their program areas when they complete the dual credit form with TCD staff. This form is a College of DuPage approved document and will not require a parent signature. Technology Center of DuPage collects the forms and submits them to College of DuPage for processing.
If a student’s achievement in the content area falls below a grade of ‘C’, the TCD instructor recommends that the student be withdrawn from the COD course. If a student is withdrawn from a dual credit course, the instructor will recommend this course of action to the student and a letter will be sent to the student’s home to inform the parent(s)/guardian(s) of the instructor’s recommendation. This process is intended to protect students from starting college on academic probation.
Please note: If a student is dropped from the dual credit portion of the class, it does not mean that he/she will be dropped from the TCD program area. In these cases, students may still complete the TCD program for high school credit.
